At Summit Laser and Cosmetic Center, we are pleased to have Pamela Bonk to assist Dr. Penner in providing skin care services. Pamela Bonk is an NC licensed Aesthetician with over 20 years of skin care experience and an experienced Surgical  Assistant.  Pamela is certified in microdermabrasion, advanced chemical peels, Rejuvapen/microneedling therapy, Viora Reaction radiofrequency operators for skin tightening and cellulite reduction and our office Coolsculpting and Ultrashape Power operator.  With  experience and extensive knowledge of skin care products you can feel confident in her ability to help you with all of your skin care needs and concerns. 

MEDICAL MICRODERMABRASION:

Microdermabrasion treatment is a way to provide effective exfoliation and rejuvenation of the skin. It helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, reduces dark spots, reduces the appearance of superficial skin damage from aging and the sun, reduces enlarged pores and blackheads, helps with acne and increases circulation for healthier skin with no interruption of your daily activities.  Microdermabrasion is achieved using a highly controlled spray of crystals, under pressure and vacuum. The result: a smoother, “polished”, more youthful appearance.   You will notice how good your skin looks and feels after just one treatment.  It requires no recuperation time. This process, when repeated multiple times, allows the younger softer skin to move to the surface, promoting discernable changes in texture, color and appearance. Initially we generally recommend a series of 6-8 treatments spaced 10-14 days apart.    Generally a maintenance program with microdermabrasion and cosmeceuticals is suggested after the initial course of treatment to maintain your results. 

CHEMICAL PEELS:
Summit Laser and Cosmetic Center is pleased to offer the following peels:

 Vitalize Peel, Rejuvenize Peel From Skin Medica:
This series of peels help fight the effects of time.  The unique blend of peeling agents include alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, resorcinol and retinoic acid.  These peels require several days of noticeable peeling, but can result in dramatic improvement in photodamaged/aging skin, acne and acne scarring and hyperpigmentation(brown spots).  After one peel you will notice an improvement in your skins texture and tone, lessening of fine lines, and a healthier more youthful appearance.  Dramatic results are achieved with a series of peels
 Vitamin C/Enzyme treatment:
This combination of Vitamin C, glycolic acid and gentle but highly active enzymes speed up cellular turnover and brighten, tighten and lighten your skin.  This peel is ideal for people with sensitive skin and rosacea, or who are new to chemical peels.
 Glytone by Enerpeel Glycolic Acid Peels- 30-70%:
These ultra-resurfacing glycolic acid treatments exfoliate dead surface skin cells, leaving skin firm, healthier.  Visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines.  Great for aging skin and acne.
 Lightening Lift treatment:  50% Lactic/Kojic Acid:
This mega-lightening treatment gently blends lactic acid and a cocktail of lightening and brightening agents to reduce sun spots, brown spots and redness caused by rosacea.
 Acne Lift treatment:  20% Salicylic
This safe and outstanding resurfacing modality has a dual benefit.  It reduces and treats all kinds of acne while resurfacing and smoothing the skin.
 TCA and Jessners Peel:
These physician performed peels are more aggressive peels to help with more advanced skin problems including aging, pigmentation and acne.  There is generally 3-5days of noticeable peeling.
 Glytone by Enerpeel Mandelic Acid:
This peel is designed for people experiencing problems with redness and to decrease photo aging and mild hyperpigmentation.  It is gentle enough for people with sensitive or reactive skin.
 Glytone by Enerpeel Pyruvic Acid:
This peel provides a medium depth exfoliation and is formulated for patients with premature aging skin, acne, seborrhea and mild hyperpigmentation.
 Glytone by Enerpeel EL(eye and lip) peel:
This peel is a combination of different acids.  It is used to reduce hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and signs of aging.  It is a one of a kind peel specifically formulated for the eyelids and perioral areas.

REJUVAPEN/COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY:
This is a great way to induce collagen production with minimal downtime.  The device also known as microneedling, produces small channels in the skin which as they heal stimulate collagen production in the skin to help with fine lines and wrinkles.  This procedure can also help with hyperpigmentation and scars.
